Wow, it’s been a second since I posted. And a big part of that is because how busy I’ve been lately and how crazy my days have been. Being a young professional (who just relocated and started a new job) is obviously super hectic, and it’s been a crazy fast move. I’m still always on the go (in new places now) but one thing that hasn’t changed is how much I love almonds and the fact that I’m always eating them or bringing them with me when I am traveling. This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of California Almonds.
Almonds are one of my favorite snacks to eat and I always have them stocked in my home. They have so many health benefits and also are just so tasty! Like why would I not want to eat a healthy, delicious, and convenient snack all the time? Each serving of almonds has 6 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber, so it really is a wonderfully healthy snack.
I basically have a bag of California Almonds in my work bag every single day! I love snacking on them throughout the day at work (and my co-workers love when I share with them)!
I also really love almonds because of how convenient they are! They’re super easy to bring with you, and if you’re like me and always either traveling for work or moving around the city to explore or shoot content, then you need something quick and easy! I oftentimes will eat almonds to start my day before a workout (I hate eating big meals before a workout) since they give me sustained energy for the gym and help my metabolism.
But even though almonds are so healthy and seem small, they actually really can fill you up! I know because of experience. The sad part of being as busy as I am is that I oftentimes have to skip lunch in order to get my work done, make that meeting, or shoot content. However, when I have almonds with me I eat those and actually feel great making it through the day. I’ve also noticed that almonds help to boost my energy in the afternoons when I start to get a little tired at the office, so eating them is really a double win! There are obviously tons of ways that you can eat almonds, such as by them self, in cereal, in yogurt, and I even incorporate almonds into my cooking (I have a great recipe for green beans with slivered almonds if anyone’s interested), which makes them super versatile and easy to incorporate into your day!
So moral of my story, eat more almonds! I love them, they’re one of my favorite snacks, and they’re a go to snack when things get crazy in my life!
And, speaking of almonds…did you know that they don’t have their own emoji? Let’s help almonds get one! Join me in signing the petition here to help get an Almond Emoji!
